TARANTELLA

"Tarantella" has its origins in Southern Italy (Mediterranean region).
At that time, is was known as the "tarantula dance", since the farmers who were bitten by the tarantula, a sort of poisonous spider, began to dance furiously for many hours, to the sound of drums and viola, keeping the blood circulation active and thus overcoming the crisis until complete recovery.
Today, tarantella has become that well-known energetic and vital rhythm led by the sound of "tamburello" (tambourine) and "nacchera" (castanets).
TARANTELLA portrays happiness and cordiality in rapid movements.
